About this tool
Merging is handy when you need to send one attachment instead of five: an application with a CV, cover letter and certificates, a set of scanned receipts for an expense claim, or chapters of a report written by different people.
This tool copies every page from each file, in the order you choose, into a brand-new PDF. Page sizes, text, images and links are kept as they are. Nothing is re-compressed, so the quality of your pages does not change.
Because the merging happens inside your browser using JavaScript, your documents are never sent to a server. That makes it safe for bank statements, ID copies and other private paperwork.
Questions and answers
Is there a limit on the number of files?
There is no fixed limit. Very large jobs (hundreds of MB) depend on how much memory your device has, so on older phones it is better to merge in smaller batches.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. The files are read and combined on your own device. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be merged until the password protection is removed. Open the file with its password in a PDF reader and save or print it as a new PDF first.
Will merging reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without converting or re-compressing images.
