About this tool
Days between dates gives the gap in years, months and days, plus total days, weeks, weekdays and weekend days. Tick Count the end date too when both days should count, such as a hotel stay or leave from Monday to Friday inclusive.
Add or subtract finds deadlines and due dates, like "90 days from today" or "6 months before the exam". When a month is shorter than the start day (31 January + 1 month), the last day of that month is used. Tick the working-days option to skip weekends.
Hours worked handles shifts that run past midnight, subtracts unpaid breaks, and shows decimal hours for timesheets and payroll.
Time zones uses your browser's built-in time zone database, so daylight saving time is applied correctly for the date you choose.
Questions and answers
How many working days are between two dates?
Use Days between dates. The Weekdays (Mon–Fri) figure counts working days. Public holidays are not removed, as they differ by country.
Does it include the end date?
Not by default, so 1 to 2 January is 1 day. Tick "Count the end date too" to count both days.
How do I convert minutes to decimal hours?
Divide the minutes by 60. 7 h 45 min is 7 + 45 ÷ 60 = 7.75 hours. The Hours worked tab does this for you.
Does the time zone converter handle daylight saving time?
Yes. Offsets are worked out for the exact date and time you enter.
