About this tool
Many job adverts and admission forms set an age limit "as on" a particular date, usually the last date to apply. Change the Age on date to that deadline to see exactly how old you will be, down to the day.
The calculator counts full years first, then full months, then the remaining days. It accounts for months of different lengths and for leap years, so someone born on 29 February is handled correctly.
It also shows your age in total months, weeks and days, and counts down to your next birthday.
Questions and answers
How is age calculated in years, months and days?
We count complete years since your birth date, then complete months since your last birthday, then the days left over, using real calendar month lengths.
Can I check my age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the "Age on" field to any date after the date of birth.
What about people born on 29 February?
In non-leap years their birthday is treated as 28 February for the next-birthday countdown.
